The Volunteer Library is a 100% volunteer effort.

As the River Road - Santa Clara Library is expanding, the need for volunteers increases. If you want to help out in a low-key environment with plenty of chances to read on the job, please contact Vickie Cain at 541-554-6854. No previous library experience is needed.

We strongly believe that reading is a fundamental skill for all Americans. Please help us toward our goal of providing equal access to literature for everyone in the River Road - Santa Clara area. The Volunteer Library is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all donations of materials or money are tax deductible.

Donations of gently used books and books on tape or CD may be dropped off at the same address during library hours. A receipt can be provided.

You can help earn donations just by shopping with your Fred Meyer Rewards Card!

Fred Meyer is donating $2.5 million per year to non-profits in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington, based on where their customers tell them to give. Here’s how the program works:

Then, every time you shop and use your Rewards Card, you are helping the Volunteer Library earn a donation!
You still earn your Rewards Points, Fuel Points, and Rebates, just as you do today. If you do not have a Rewards Card, they are available at the Customer Service desk of any Fred Meyer store.
